The administration just announced that Cougar Times is coming back exactly as we remembered it. I am relieved that our traditions are finally being respected and I appreciate everyone who signed to protect this space for us.

Seeing the community rally behind the return of Cougar Times has been completely overwhelming for me. This movement is growing because so many of you understand how vital that time is for our daily student life.

Seeing the count climb toward one thousand reminds me exactly why we started this fight for our school period. Please get this link in front of three people who still have not signed so we can hit that goal before the meeting.

I'm part of the Center and I really don't see how this cougar time change benefits anybody. Without CT, how will the Center function? CT is a valuable part of Cougar Culture and really shouldn't be changed into some "return time".
CT is a vital way for students to catch up, get extra help, collaborate on projects, and do homework. Eliminating CT will increase students’ already overwhelming stress levels. It’s an indispensable part of my kids’ day.
Cougar Time is SO beneficial to me and countless others for 1 on 1 time with teachers, making up quizzes missed, and asking clarifying questions. A small portion of students shouldn't dictate what the whole student body can do - implement detention again!
I have not met a single teacher or student who thinks that replacing Cougar time with a class rotation would be beneficial. Athletes would be especially impacted by the decision, as we have to stay afterschool and therefore must use Cougar times to make up any work we miss.
The theatre department will suffer greatly and this system will put a lot more stress on teachers when they have to keep track of sending students other places and having to check each students' grades to be able to do that.
PLZ BE FAIR AND NOT UNFAIR!!
School is too stressful and homework is out of control! There needs to be time in school for projects, homework, student collaboration, teacher assistance!

I, as a rapper, entrepreneur, and growing student, will not stand for the loss of Cougar Time. I use my cougar time in order to get my work done so I can go work long hours after school. As a proud Oakton student I refuse to let our cougar time die a slow death. Thank you, Matty $abs
