Due to recent controversies in which they were not involved, Winter Park High School Girls Basketball Assistant Coaches Martin Caparros and Frank Puckett were let go by Orange County Public Schools on Monday July 1st. They became collateral damage in the school district's aggressive attempts to clean up. Martin and Frank were key pieces in the program's recent success, taking the team from a losing record, to two consecutive years over .500.
