Petition for Simon Harris, we want a reversal to the recent changes made to entitlements for women who have had breast cancer. No woman should have to pay towards breast prostheses, mastectomy bras and wigs. These changes are nation wide. They will affect every woman who has had breast surgery in the past and also those who will have surgery in the future. We don't want this policy to be just extended until August. We want you to please abolish it completely. From Breast Cancer Survivors, Mastectomy Fitting Specialists & Wig Fitting Specialists.

One hundred people have signed on to fight these unfair costs. My hands are shaking from the exhaustion of this, but it is clear that I am not fighting alone.

This is absurd and will be a false economy for the state, women who have undergone mastectomy require a professionally fitted specialist bra, if they don't get it, it can lead to complications and health complaints that will cost the state more in the long run.

I find this change in allowance to breast cancer women to be very unfair, life with this disease is hard enough (i should know, im living with it as a patient for nearly 12years) without being penalised for what I see as a necessity.

I've signed this position to stop this from happening. Having been through chemotherapy I chose not to wear a wig, the hardships people face with a diagnosis like this. A wig or any of the medical devices needed by cancer patients are not luxury items. Please sign and share

Utterly disgraceful. As if it's not bad enough going through the treatment and surgery. Now you have the financial burden on top of the emotional distress. This has to be stopped. Obviously who ever made the decision hasn't been affected by this cancer. Disgraceful.

Disgusting ! ! I have had a bilateral mastectomy and couldn't have managed without the free prostheses, bras and wigs. The Government have taken plenty of entitlements away from people that have suffered cancer and it needs to stop!

I am appalled that anyone can even think of cutting these allowances to those of us who have had the devastating news of a mastectomy. We should all be entitled to these benefits in order to return to some sense of normality, even though we can never feel wholly normal again.
