I believe that it is important for schools to have school spirit, Braswell can not have school spirit if everything is being restricted. The pint of school is to learn and have fun.

WhenI heard about this I was very upset. Our Juniors were made tobtransfer after some made their Varsity teams and are coming from schools that allow this, they are already struggling with the transition. Why would you not want to add fun and pride.....so didappointing. Please reconsider!

I just want out school to be able to be more than just going to school. What makes HS fun is all the extra stuff, so I think spirit stuff is so important.

I have two things I would like to say! This is Texas and we have lots of traditions In high schools that these kids need to experience. I heard from some of the students that they were told some of these traditions could be a distraction. I don't understand that. Most of us parents went to schools where many of these traditions were alive and well. We turned out ok!!! To the school administration! Please quit trying to reinvent the wheel.

I don't have any affiliation with Braswell but a school needs tradition and spirit. Kids need something to buy I to. Without that you will have a lot of drop outs and low performance in classes. Students deserve the high school experience. It's not about what the principal wants its about how do we make high school a better experience be for students. It's their high school years not anyone else's. Don't take that away. Build school spirit.

I do agree, that the school should be allowed to show schools spirit and feel it. That's what high school experience is about. This is part of a young adult life. To make memories and tell the stories to their children.
