I believe that the kids should be able to enjoy the traditional high school experiences and be able to have pep rally's, posters, spirit days.

This new school is a shiny new beacon on 380 and the amount of community and positive energy that could come from spirit rallies and decorations is huge! His also helps give the students a creative outlet and a way to interact with each other in a positive way outside the classroom so they can band together as 1 student body instead of each sports team just playing their respective sport outside of school hours.

I stayed in this area because of the new high school. Without all of the traditions that make it a fun experience I might as well move to a school district that does do all of these things! These are must haves!!!

If this is the first class of this school, School Spirit should be the foundation of the school. Build a school to have pride in, not to hate and dreaded. Highschool spirit and participation are the best things of highschool. As a graduated citizen I can say "Wow I wish I went to more school related things " don't let these kids miss out on it, even when they're clearly showing they WANT it. This rare!

These kids have rights to celebrate and show their school spirit. Don't take it away. This is the fresh start they have been anxiously awaiting. Shouldn't even be an issue.

Dr. Guajardo has stated, mums and guarders will be allowed. Administration also approved the Braswell Royals selling mum and guarders through https://www.themumshop.com/schools/braswell-high-school/ as a fundraiser. Spirit week will be the Spirit Week (Oct. 24-28). Becoming Dance - October 22nd. Becoming Game - October 28th.

A high school without spirit weeks and all the traditions, isn't a high school. People needs this experiences for the future. You might thinks it's small but it is a big deal to a lot of people. I know people who wouldn't be how they are without it.

High School is about traditions and the feeling of belonging to something you're proud of. By denying expected traditions like mums, spirit day, wall decorations, you are "transforming by subtraction." ALMA MATER means "Nourishing Mother". Make it so! -Steve

We need to have spirit traditions to make highschool a greater experience without them braswell might never be a great experience.
