I will say this now this is false all of it. The mums are a miss understanding and posters and events we can do it is just taking time to do these things. If you got any questions ask the principle or counselors or STUCO sponsers. -STUCO student

What is high school without pride and traditions?

School traditions are what keep some kids in school! So sad to hear the admin is not allowing traditions to be built....don't let Braswell be the only Texas high school with no tradition. Dr. Braswell would be disappointed since he started out as a crucial member of Texas high school football and loved being part of all the traditions!

I'm a sophomore at BHS and would love to start some great traditions for the others that will visit the school and it would be amazing to be the first few set of people to establish traditions and set the bar for the next group of kids so the school can get better and better and maybe be one of the best schools in Texas.

Not fair to exclue, this kids from pep rallies, this is one of the major, thing tha boost, the spirit,of the school, and the kid that protisapate in sports, now, how can you Gave your school any can of up lift ing without cheering them on to victory, all high school that I know of have, pep rallies, that going to be one dull, school,so parents give your support for tha great cause and down, let these kids down, they have my support 100percent,stand for what Rigth ,this your tax dollars that's paying for this school,

This is very good idea, especially considering this is a new school with no standing traditions

This makes my heart so sad that all the fun is being taken out of high school. Yes, education is the sole reason of school. However, social life is almost just as important because these kids are at school all day every weekday and no one is going to want to be there. How can a principal expect the kids to enjoy themselves in an environment that has no spirit, creativity, and feels like jail? Traditions are what individualizes a school and brings people together for memories that they will always remember. A principal should be concerned with how students feel just as much as their grades.

I think the school should have spirit day as well as pep rally. without it,they may as well not have a football team. High sch is about learning. I'm sure we all get that. it is supposed to be fun and yet a major memorable life experience as well. I don't know who decided to ban these things but this person does not know much about running a high school. I also know that when there are school sponsored fund raisers students need to pitch in. This really is a sad situation and communist!!!!!

In response to the decision made regarding the posters, pep rallies, spirit days, etc. I understand the thought process regarding this decision, but also think the social involvement is important to the students. I agree that the students should put learning as the top priority at school, but the traditions are important too. My Grand daughter works hard at school to achieve good grades. I myself was not a "popular" student (just average) and the pep rallies, posters, spirit days made me feel a part of my school student body. I feel a new school under construction needs the personal touches of its students - school spirit means a lot! Please reconsider your thoughts on this decision. Thank you
