In Gibraltar boys and girl are limited to the specific GCSE's in which they can pick. For example boys can't pick dance whereas girls can and girls can't pick photography whereas boys can. In signing this petition you are raising the chances of one day boys and girls being able to pick the same GCSE's. - Carmen Anderson

there were 2 subjects that i would have loved to have been able to study but never could due to the fact that the boys were able to have those subjects but us girls weren't. Its limiting our option and career path for the future.

As long as teachers are available for any course, students, regardless of gender should be allowed the choice of all subjects offered by the board in Gibraltar.

I agree completely. The fact that us girls are unable to take a course in photography and the Bayside boys are not able to do dance courses is completely unacceptable- we should all have the same options to establish a fair and improved school system.

I think that boys and girls should have the same GCSE options, some girls passions are photography along with boys with dance. It's quite unfair that we'd have to choose art (Westside) to do photography if we don't really like art.

There were a couple of subjects I wanted to do that I wasn't allowed to do just because they only taught them at Bayside and I thought it was really unfair. I want both the pupils at Westside and Bayside to be able to choose what ever subject they want to do, even if I already did my GCSE's

A lot of the choices are sexist as well! For example boys not able to pick Textiles or Child Development, but girls can. Furthermore, girls cannot do resistant Materical design Technology (woodwork and metalwork) but boys are allowed to.

Boys and girls have legal rights to the sane educational opportunities.

This is just one of the many problems created by our single-sex education system.
