Used to work at Victoria's espresso she stole our tip money during the food and wine week
I was yet another j1 visa employee, who was taken advantage by Victoria's Cafe on 2012 summer. They owe me $1500 + all the tips. I was getting yelled at daily and mistreated badly. Once, John got face to face with me, almost getting physical. I've tried to reach out to Labor office, but I had to leave USA, as my work-and-travel programme ended. Therefore couldn't follow up to get my rights. This is "NOT ACCEPTABLE" as Victoria Haveman used to say.
I worked at Victoria's for a length of time and was refused my paycheck. I went in to retrieve my earned pay and she called the police on me. I had to get in touch with the labor law and an attorney to finally receive pay 3 months late. This woman is a crook and deserves to be shut down. Our community shouldn't support that of which steals from its own people.
I was working in that cafeteria the winter season 2015. I have the contract and the checks ... She didnt respect our agreement, treated myself horribly and my tasks were not agreed... nobody could help me. I felt so alone.
I hope we can seek justice. I have heard about a lot of physical confrontations. I was running the store for them and ever since day one I was receiving complaints and questions from current and past employees about pay. I didn't have the answers for them. My assistant and I then experienced for ourselves and things started to add up. We are doing this for your niece and everyone else that has been affected over the years.

I personally experienced a family member being taken advantage of by Victoria. She was not paid until we lobbied the Colorado Dept of labor and even then she was never paid in full. Victoria should not have a license to practise business in Aspen.
