I was yet another j1 visa employee, who was taken advantage by Victoria's Cafe on 2012 summer. They owe me $1500 + all the tips. I was getting yelled at daily and mistreated badly. Once, John got face to face with me, almost getting physical. I've tried to reach out to Labor office, but I had to leave USA, as my work-and-travel programme ended. Therefore couldn't follow up to get my rights. This is "NOT ACCEPTABLE" as Victoria Haveman used to say.

I worked at Victoria's for a length of time and was refused my paycheck. I went in to retrieve my earned pay and she called the police on me. I had to get in touch with the labor law and an attorney to finally receive pay 3 months late. This woman is a crook and deserves to be shut down. Our community shouldn't support that of which steals from its own people.

Haveman and Beatty not only mistreated and mispaid my niece, also physically pushed her out of the store in her last working day. My niece Lucia, was in a foreign country with little money and far away from her family. We want this to stop right now!

Personal business experience with both Victoria and Johns unethical behavior- when the police were called- they said "oh our favorite couple" we get calls on them all the time!! How are they still in biz????

I hope we can seek justice. I have heard about a lot of physical confrontations. I was running the store for them and ever since day one I was receiving complaints and questions from current and past employees about pay. I didn't have the answers for them. My assistant and I then experienced for ourselves and things started to add up. We are doing this for your niece and everyone else that has been affected over the years.

I personally experienced a family member being taken advantage of by Victoria. She was not paid until we lobbied the Colorado Dept of labor and even then she was never paid in full. Victoria should not have a license to practise business in Aspen.
