Deeply disturbing and insult to injury the CEO's response that the man was being belligerent as if he was there and witness the belligerence. He made a already bad situation worse. Totally lack of humanity and compassion

Terrible way to treat a paying customer, let alone a human being! I will definitely be steering clear of this airline. Perhaps we should also petition United to change their policy concerning bumping passengers to offer maximum compensation and to not prioritize paid confirmed passengers over the last minute desires of their employees

I have cut up my United Airlines credit cards, and will never again fly United - ever - so much for flying the (un)Friendly Skies of United. This poor victim should be given millions in compensation and United's CEO should be fined and fired.

I quit flying United Airlines years ago when my pre-selected seat was changed to a more crowded one when I refused to be bumped to a different flight. Overbooking flights is United's policy. Not flying United is mine.

It is appalling that United Airlines would forcibly remove a paying customer from a flight to accommodate their own employees as a result of their own incompetence. It is doubly appalling that the police should be employed to support this disgusting action which was a civil matter between United Airlines and the customer.
