The idea has been floating around, and there are members of the Cache County Jr. Livestock SALE Committee that would like to make RESTRICTIONS or DO AWAY entirely with having "Boosts" on animals that are sold at the Cache County Fair. There are many local businesses, family, and friends that would like the option to support these kids at the fair, but do not have the money to purchase a whole animal/ have many that they are wanting to support, and would like to make a "small" donation OR BOOST ($15, $25 for example). Please, if you feel that this is an option that you like to CONTINUE to have for your child at the Cache County Jr. Livestock show, sign this petition and let the committee know that PARENTS SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN CHANGES THAT AFFECT THEIR CHILD WHO HAS WORKED HARD AND IS SELLING HIS/HER LIVESTOCK PROJECT.

Since when is it ok for an unelected paid employee of the county to make a decision for the rest of us who pay taxes and participate in the livestock program without the opportunity of a discussion?

Boosts are great and should be left to the people and businesses of the community to choose whether or not to boost a 4-H or FFA kid and their chosen product. What people want to do with their money at the fair should not be dictated by others.

If they did away with boost the kids would not even break even with what they have spent on there animal plus feed, vet bills, meds and supplements. We have to have boost to make up the difference.

Those boosts help kids with extra costs when floor prices aren’t high. If the kids are willing to work and go talk to businesses then they should have that opportunity! The boosts teach the kids leadership, communication, and responsibility!

Please keep the booster program in the 4-H and FFA livestock show. This teaches kids a valuable lesson on how to get out of their comfort zone, approach others and Build confidence that will help them in their future personal and professional endeavors

I have never liked restrictions on boosts it give kids a chance to better cover costs. Some people just want to donate but don’t have enough to buy. Getting rid of or restrictions on boosts just hurts the kids.

Boots are a way business, friends and family can support the exhibitors.
