The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is proposing to increase the existing speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour to sixty-five (65) miles per hour within Bondurant.

Semi-trucks, RVs and commuters will travel at sixty-five (65) miles per hour directly in front of the Bondurant Elementary School, church, library, and fire station.

We, the residents of Bondurant, WY do hereby petition the Wyoming Department of Transportation to reduce the existing speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour to thirty-five (35) miles per hour.  In addition, we request that the size of the speed limit signage is increased.

The request is being made out of the concern for safety for our children, our community members and our emergency service professionals.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge the Wyoming Department of Transportation to act now to lower the speed limit to thirty-five (35) miles per hour and request an increase in speed limit signage.

Ridiculous idea. I drive through there every single day and it is plenty dangerous already. Leave it at 50 or lower it to 35 like it should be.

65 is way to fast for that stretch of road. people have no clue how long it takes a semi to stop when kids are around. keep it slow.
