We at Eccles Community Church are petitioning for the case of Bolon versus Eccles Community Church to be retried in a court of law. We are asking Judge Hutchinson to reverse his decision to award Mr. Bolon 25 feet of our land, based on the following fact.

>Mr. Bolon did not have sole and exclusive use of the land in question for 10 years.

>The WV law states that for a person to sue for Adverse Possession (SQUATTERS RIGHTS), you have to have sole and exclusive use of land in question for 10 years.

>Mr. Bolon occasionally parked vehicles on the land in question.

>If Eccles Community Church can not get this decision reversed we will be forced into possibly closing our doors, or trying to relocate. The churches main focus is to win souls. We have to be able to park cars and have adequate seating. Eccles Community Church has had our doors open since the early 1900's.

I logged on to find that over 100 people have put their names behind this cause. It is absolutely humbling to see so many of you looking out for this church when I honestly expected this to go completely unnoticed.

Let the church keep their land. This is a very old law that does not apply to this case.

Even though the gentleman used the property he knew where the boundaries are, now the church needs the property. The ruling should go by the deed!! Prayers this will all be worked out.

This law is outdated and should be eliminated so that unscrupulous people don't use this law in an underhanded way. This is stealing from God's people, which is the most underhanded, stingy and immoral action. Simply wrong!!!

This is so sad! I don't understand the mentality of some people. If you didn't buy it or it wasn't given to you then that means it's not yours. This law just allows people to legally steal.

This man should be ashamed of his self and be more willing to give up his land for parking for the church and more if need be, He should want to help the church not try and close it down

Please don't take the land to this church. These are the nicest people & they would do anything to help anyone! Can't believe someone would try to do this! It's a shame!!!
