We've heard from you on social media and met many of you in person. The support from our local community has been overwhelming. We are now reaching out to you for your help.
The Catawba County Zoning Department, after the previous approval of our agrotourism plan over a year ago, has now come back and rescinded their approval telling us that Bohemian Cattle Co is not eligible for their farming exemption until 2024; this decision will hold us back from opening this year in 2023.
Believe us we are doing everything in our power and fighting the fact that they are saying we are not a farm. Please help us in showing our County leaders that their constituents believe the same. By signing this petition you will show the community support that Bohemian Cattle Co. has already gained within the city of Sherrills Ford and our neighboring cities (thank you Denver, Hickory, Newton, Lincolnton, Mooresville, etc.).
We are excited to create a fun family environment with good food and an unbelievable Agrotourism Event center experience for our town of Sherrills Ford; Catawba County. Next time we see you we hope it is by serving you one of our amazing dishes, some dessert from the creamery, and/ or an experience that you will never forget.

Please convene the Zoning Board to allow the Bohemian Cattle Company to open now. The business has met all of the requirements and received all of the needed inspections and approvals. Revising the rules at this late date is anti-business and blatantly unfair!!
Please allow the business open and thrive. We have tremendous home building in the area with limited infrastructure or services. Things like this add character and helps advance the community. It also keeps more tax dollars and personal spending in our town/county.
This is the type of business development we NEED in Sherrills Ford, Non-chain, community minded, farm to table. It's so sad the rug was pulled out. Many older teens in the surrounding neighborhoods were looking forward to their first jobs.
Why are you holding a legit business hostage??? They are going to be a huge source of tax dollars for you. You already approved them. Now you are back peddling??? Shame on you. You need to explain yourselves to the public!
We’ve seen them spend so much time, making this a perfect and much needed, little getaway for the community. Please help this small business get open so they can serve the eager community and pay the wages of all those they’ve hired.

Surely need good farms, and meat and produce and education. I do not drink alcohol, but I love good food and Southern Hospitality. We need the younger generation educated on farming. Hope you sell shirts Farm 2 Table.
