With the recent hiring of the new principal Becky Brown at Brookwood Middle School, There have been notable policy changes. Most are fairly reasonable, but the one that has almost all students up in arms is the "3 minute to get to class" policy change. After 3 days at school so far, I can tell you that it is IMPOSSIBLE for someone on the 6th grade side of the building to go to the elective hall while stopping by their locker to put their things away and gather their essentials. This part is required due to the fact that most teachers do not allow bags in the classroom.On top of that, they may need to use the bathroom and still be on the elective hall in 3 minutes.I am in eighth grade and so far in the school year I have been to my locker twice, and the bathroom zero times. In fact, after going to my locker I was almost tardy. This is a formal request to get the old policy of 5 minutes to get to class back. Many students want this change, so please consider signing.
