After spending a life time in school it's a tradition to go to your prom just because someone miss used the tradition others should not miss out the organizers will have to take more responsibility and make this happen

prom is a rite of passage ...taking it from those thst have worked hard for it is counter productive
...your saying to those kids ..you dont matter your still kids thst need to be treated like the past delinquins ...add extra security have it begin and end earlyer ...there must be a way to compromise....and they will be lucky kids dont revolt and destroy the school anyway

Utterly ridiculous, prom is a very special time in a child's final year of high school, let them experience it, I still talk about mine and it's over 30 years ago!

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.. Just because some act like fools dosent mean the rest who work their ass off for this day it gets taken away!!! Hire some security may b a solution!! I think some parents should go to compass and express their thoughts on this!! Bluefield teachers u are awful!!! I am embaressed to say I am a graduate of that school!!!

While I do not agree that students this year should pay for last year's antitics, I think the prom should be moved off school property. Not every school has their prom at school - so yes this year will be different - a new tradition! It is better if we teach our students to move forward with positive alternatives than to be leaving school with negatinvite and not being able to roll with the punches in life.
There will be a prom just not the same as last year!
