Punish all for a few is unfair, and punishing this years class for last years students is a unjust solution

Shame on the faculty to punish all the students who have worked hard to making it to this point of their lives. It's a pivotal moment in these youg adult lives. And prom is a celebration of their hard work, dedication and commitment.
Perhaps, all teachers then should be held accountable for one teachers actions or mis conduct... Let's see how long that would last!
Shame on all those involved in making such a reckless , careless, decision.
As a parent, it leaves me wondering the capabilities of some of these teachers.

I don't believe this years class should be judged on a previous class's mistakes. If the concern is vandalism or underage drinking there are ways to eliminate both. The administration, teachers, parents and students all need to join forces and create a prom environment that is safe and fun.

Instead of cancelling prom, some security or police presence would be more appropriate. If you're still upset about damage from last year find out who did it and have them charged, don't punish students that had nothing to do with it.

This is not the way to go about this..the young adults that have worked hard for this honor should have the prom they want. Only the individuals non deserving should be held from attending.

It is a shame that this year's class is being punished for last year! Prom is what you wait for as you go through high school. I am sure there is a simple fix...like adding more security. High schools have been having proms for years it would be a shame to lose such a great event that brings the community out to support the grads. I am all about safety of everyone, but I am sure that with a bit more security...this could be resolved.

Cancelling a prom because of a select few is not a solution. Blue field should be ashamed, I know as a graduate prom was my motivation to get through and I would have been devestated not to have one. Come up with solutions to ensure problems don't happen.
Not just cancel it. Personally it looks to me like administration chose the easy way not the right way, now it's cancelled they don't have to do anything. Come on blue field have a staff meeting and give your hard working seniors their prom!

I think if u put breath analyzers around and security so if they arrive drunk asked them to leave or if the don't make them with the security.
