On January 24, 2011 Blue's family was not at home when their alarm system sounded. Two Lafayette City Police responded. Blue came out of the garage where he lay sleeping and began barking at the 2 policeman. SEVERAL shots were RAPIDLY fired MISSING Bue. Blue was shot in his SIDE as he TURNED to go back to the garage. Blue's family would like to raise awareness in an effort to save another family's pet from a horrible tragedy as this one. Blue's family home has SURVIELLANCE CAMERAS and an underground dog fencing system through IFENCE. Ifence will not istall this type of system if the dog to be contained is aggressive. The police man referred to him as "just a dog"!!! Blue was not "just a dog" nor was he a bad dog. He will not die in vain. SADLY MISSED!!!
