It is time to make these areas safer for our children and any other person not fortunate enough to own a car.

I have been a resident of the area for only 2 years, but always wondered why there wasn't any sidewalks for the students walking on bluemound, or crossing it. Truly heart breaking that a young boy had to lose his life for changes to happen.

My child will be going there soon and I hope that nobody else is going to get hurt or lose their life so please let this go through before 2017

I went to Saginaw High School, and walked and drove home from the school and still drive that road everyday. Its dangerous and it needs to be expanded to help with traffic and side walks and lighting need to be put in.Bailey Boswell Rd does need it and I am glad they are doing that road, but honestly this road is even worse. At least get some lighting up or evaluate and put in as many safety features as you can temporarily to prevent another kid from dying.

This situation with no place for these kids to walk and no lights along this road should have been taken care of along time ago.On a daily bases these kids have to walk in the road practically to walk to and from school. And yes some of you can say they could ride this buses.Well I've personally seen for myself 9 times out of 10 these kids walking beat the buses home And some of them may just enjoy walking.Sad that this beautiful life was taken so soon because the city saved some money.Lets build a multi-million dollar bridge over the rail road tracks but risk our children's safety on s daily bases .Is it just me but is there something wrong with this picture.Thank you!

You build a high school on a busy road and put no side walk in? Not just the city but the home builders should have put some in also. What where you thinking!!!

This needs to happen before another life is lost! This is not the first child that has lost their life walking from the high school. Let's make this happen

My boys went to Boswell High and that's before the town expanded and it was bad then. More traffic and people ,yes I agree 100% for this petition!

The need to start charging the subdivision builders and business for the necessary road expansions. That way we have the funding.

If you don't do anything else, at least put up lighting for this section of Blue Mound Road.

I have lived in this area for 9 years and know this stretch of road. It is dangerous. Truly it needs to be widened to four lanes and with turn lanes near the Saginaw high school all the way to Harmon Rd. It also needs much better lighting. It is only going to get busy with the additions of businesses and houses. I hope TxDOT finally will step in and do the right thing with the tax payers money in the area.
