I feel our children are not safe only a few feet out their own front door. Blue mound rd. has become an alternate to Interstate 35W with all the construction. Motorist need to realize families and schools are located here, and need to yield to pedestrians

You would think 10 years later there would be sidewalks and lights for these kids to go home safe! With all the car accidents that happen at this intersection I'm surprised it hasn't happened before!

There are no crosswalks or sidewalks on Blue Mound from Basswood towards Western Center.

The current state of Blue Mound Road is NOT acceptable to maintain the healthy lives of the youth in the area, who have to walk in the tall grass in poorly lit areas. This is far from being acceptable and should NOT have to wait to be ameliorated.

We seemed to have no problem coming up with the money for each of our three high schools to have magnificent football stadiums (my older kids went to Fossil Ridge, and they share a stadium with Keller High since every other game is an away game). Can't we budget a little money for the safety of our kids?

It is a shame that something tragic has to happen just for something to be changed or improved. We have been needing this for quite some time now. The city has just been dragging there feet.

This should have been part of the ordinal plans when school was built. Waiting till 2017 is unacceptable. Kid was killed b/c he had to cross a busy street after a football game!!! Get it done.

Waiting for this project to begin the end of 2017 is UNACCEPTABLE. This is the 2nd child in 10 yrs to be killed. This should have been started & finished years ago when Saginaw High was built. GET IT DONE PEOPLE!

Jeannelle, I fully intent to. I have already contacted a state congressman and I am currently working on making other phone calls to the city councils and the media. If anyone, has any contacts that could assist in this process I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks, Aaron

City of Fort Worth needs to step up.

I hope the person starting this petition follows through with it, bringing it to the necessary agencies. Blue Mound Rd is a state highway. People need to go to Fort Worth city council meeting and any meetings that TXDOT may have. The people need to stay on top of this.

Something should have been done about that road years ago when it was first proposed.

Better keep the 18th wheelers out of our neighborhood on 156 from N. 287 to S.820 this will decrease the bottleneck traffic in this area. It is unacceptable the 45 min. to 1 Hr. from 820 to N.287
