Bob Jones University has been misleading about accreditation both before receiving accreditation and now after. Before accreditation they painted a perfect picture where few people had issues regarding accreditation. Now after accreditation they paint the picture that this issue is resolved. Unfortunately the problem is far from resolved and people are running into issues now more then ever. TRACS accreditation has done little to help the situation, yet BJU either remains completely silent or at times completely misleading on the topic.
I believe it is time to send a message to the administration. It is time to let them know that this issue cannot be ignored. If you've had issues or know people who've had issues please sign this petition. If you've never had issues, but realize how easily this could happen to you, please sign. This is about more than just graduates. People's entire futures are put on the line by attending Bob Jones University, and many students don't realize the potential liability a degree from BJU might represent. Some students aren't even given a choice regardless. It is time to let them know the truth. Please stand with me.
The goal of this petition is honesty. The administration needs to be honest about their accreditation. What kind of accreditation is it? What does that mean? What are the limitations? And how is it being received in the academic community. All of this information needs to be addressed so that students, parents, and Christian high schools can make the best decisions with the all the information available.

The stories shared in the comments reveal a pattern of ongoing struggle that deserves a transparent response from the administration. I am currently organizing these accounts to ensure the full scope of this issue is presented with clarity.

Seeing this conversation grow confirms that many of us share the same concerns regarding transparency at this institution. It is clear that the lack of clarity surrounding accreditation has affected more people than I initially imagined. This collective recognition of the problem is the first step toward demanding the accountability we deserve.

I have had to eliminate endless grad school considerations because of the lack of accreditation. The approach of Bob Jones Univ. has been incredibly uncharitable toward its students.

Spent 4 years there and now trying to get into gov work is a joke. They need to stop acting like everything is fine.

Had a recruiter laugh during an interview when I mentioned where I got my degree. Not cool.

My masters program flat out rejected my credit transfers because the BJU degree was not regionally accredited. Total nightmare.

They always act like everything is fine but the rest of the world sees it differently. Be honest about what the degree is worth.
