North Babylon Community Petition to Renovate the Baseball and Softball Fields at North Babylon High School.
This petition is being presented to voice the community’s intent to proceed with petitioning to renovate the North Babylon Baseball and Softball Fields at the North Babylon High School because the fields are inadequate and not in good standing for the students in the community. The fields have had issues with drainage, and we are requesting for the fields be converted to turf with adequate drains & stands for the community to be able to view the games.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our community and board members to act now on this petition to renovate the Baseball and Softball Fields in the High School at North Babylon.

The school board continues to dodge our emails about these crumbling fields while our athletes are forced to play in the mud. They are gambling with student safety and hoping we just go away quietly. Keep the pressure on them because we are not backing down until those turf fields are installed.

The school board is still ignoring the crumbling state of our fields while our athletes deal with dangerous drainage issues every single time it rains. We are rapidly approaching 250 signatures and I need every single one of you to send this link to your contacts right now to force their hands. Do not let these bureaucrats think for a second that we are going to stop until they commit to installing turf.

I have my second grandson going through the program and this will be the 6th year I go to a game as a spectator either trying to look through a huge blue tarp behind home plate or trying to see from right field around the huge dugouts converted from cargo containers. please redo the fields.
I’m an upcoming 9th grader who would love a turf baseball field to spend my high school career on.
All the updates of the track, bleachers and football field, the softball and baseball fields need to be upgraded as well.
It is kind of sad that Little League players have two turf fields, and our high school players miss out on games due to the fields being unplayable due to the weather. It is a bad look for the school district.
As a current player at North Babylon High School for the Varsity Baseball Team, the dirt baseball fields are unable to be played on after the slightest rain. Games are postponed and practices are forced to be inside. The amount of injuries due to bad hops and uneven ground in the outfield is outrageous. North Babylon needs turf baseball fields.

ive been playing on this field my whole life and have busted my lip twice from bad hops at 2 base. We constantly have to practice inside and cancel games because of our field can’t hold the slightest bit of water. Please help
