The transit cuts have been officially cancelled and the service is staying as it is. I am truly stunned by what you all achieved because none of this would have happened without your persistence. Please keep an eye on the transit board to ensure they hold to this commitment.
Do you use, work with, or know anyone who uses either Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) fixed route or Paratransit buses or do you value Public Transportation? If so, Threatened cuts will go into effect October 1 if Mayor Bell and the Birmingham City Council don’t take action. Please sign this petition to help prevent these cuts so people will have affordable, effective transportation in Birmingham. These signatures will presented to the Birmingham City Council at the Tuesday, September 27 Council meeting. Spread the word! Thanks.

PLEASE DONT CUT THE ROUTES. I take the bus every single day to get to my job downtown and if this happens I am going to lose it.

How is anyone supposed to get to work without these buses. This city makes it so hard for people who dont have a car to survive.
