The Anne Arundel County Council must vote ***YES*** on Bill 82-09. Bill 82-09 would enable the construction of a world-class entertainment & gaming facility adjacent to Arundel Mills Mall. By approving Bill 82-09, the County Council will: * Create thousands of local jobs dedicated to building and operating the new venue, including construction, retail, and information technology jobs. * Secure new funding for county schools to invest in teachers and school renovations that are currently threatened by budget cuts. * Generate approximately $30 million in revenue to Anne Arundel County annually for use on infrastructure, economic development, and community projects. * Add more parking for Arundel Mills customers and employees. * Attract vital new customers to local businesses. * Protect resources and funds that support our police, fire fighters, and teachers. * Help to preserve Maryland's horse farms and the horse racing industry. * Help the County and the State balance their budgets by adding a new stream of revenue without raising taxes. I support Bill 82-09 because I support new jobs, better schools, infrastructure improvements and vital revenues for Anne Arundel County!
