Ms. Nicole Rodriguez, sister of the late Christopher "Big Pun" Rios, embarks on a journey to fulfill the dream of herself and the fans of one of the greatest to touch the mic. Ms. Rodriguez is committed to turning Rogers Place near 163rd in the Bronx to that of her brother's name. Nicole shares that BIG PUN was a "True New Yorker" who loved where he was from and loved his people. With all the opportunities to leave his home town, he refused and chose to stay to his roots. Rogers Place and 163rd has become a place where locals, tourists come to pay homage and show respect to one of their beloved own. This is a petition to include fans all around and his supporters of his native New York community. If you are in favor of not only seeing but being a part of history, please fill out this petition in entirety with your legal name (do not put anonymous),contact info and give a reason why you are in support of it-Make sure to add your City/State and Zip Code and let it be known that you are for "Big Pun Place."

Reaching this point has been a slow climb and I am exhausted by the pushback we keep facing. Seeing this level of support reminds me why I started this fight for my brother. We keep moving forward no matter how long it takes.

When I pass by it, I always pay my respects with a kiss to the sky. Big Pun Place, make it happen!!!!
I listened to big puns music growing up! Even though I grew up in New Jersey i was Born in Brooklyn, New York, his music always made me be true to myself and know where I came from.
I am a huge big pun fan and would like for this street to be renamed after the one and only Big Pun, not only for rap and the fans but also for all the Boricuas. Bless
Many artists neglect their roots, but Big Pun was never that artist. True to his city to the very end.
Big Pun definitely deserves it for all the hard work an accomplishments he has done ,he truly was an inspiration to the Latin community an Boricuas around the world, letting us know that anything is possible, follow your dreams, always believe ,God Bless Big Pun /Rios family. Give BIG PUN HIS PLACE IN BRONX HISTORY!

Big Pun is one of the greatest to ever bless a mic.. He is my favorite rapper of all time, and influenced me growing up. Being from the BX and being a positive role model, being the 1st Latin rapper to go platinum, him and his family deserves the street name change to Big Puns Place. RIP Pun
