I am currently drafting a formal letter to Commissioners Ewen and Hyde outlining the expectations of the electorate regarding this appointment. This document will be delivered to the board office prior to the upcoming public comment session.

The volume of support signifies a clear mandate that the board cannot overlook. We are finalizing the presentation materials to ensure the commissioners understand the public expectation before the upcoming hearing.

I think the commission needs to listen to the voters. If you "give" this position to Keith Grant, you are essentially hiring a 4th commission because he will have more influence than just the federal lands job, thus overriding the voters in not putting him back in office. this job neds to be advertised.
funny how he was a big part in cut backs and taking other people's jobs to save on the budget, and he gets voted out of office and rehired?I call foul play!! keep him out
We voted him out, that means we the voters were tired of what he was doing, why would they now hire him back?. Are the voices of the citizens ever heard and followed?
it is extremely important that Big Horn County voters who are in disagreement with creating this position not to mention filling it with the person who was voted out of office. The meetings are not held when people are working can attend and voice their opinion, so if you feel strongly that the position not be created or that it be opened up for applications then please sign this petition or attend the meeting on the sixth of January.

I Really have no vendetta or displeasure with Mr. grant as much as I have a great displeasure for how this is all being handled. Like I said in my letter, I still think it illegal, I still think it was very convenient that this job suddenly became an emergency when Mr. grant was defeated and it just stinks! It smells of back room good ole boy politics and I have no use for that or for those that engage in it.
