This petition calls on Brad Dwenger to not seek re-election as Wayne County Commissioner.
Many residents and public servants have grown increasingly concerned about leadership decisions, transparency, and accountability at the county level. Recent actions affecting county operations, including the Coroner’s Office, have raised serious questions about whether decisions are being made in the best interest of the public or driven by personal and political motivations.
Additionally, Indiana law places clear limits on holding multiple lucrative public positions. Concerns have been raised regarding Mr. Dwenger simultaneously serving as an elected county commissioner while also holding a position as a reserve deputy with the Sheriff’s Office. This dual role appears to conflict with Indiana’s prohibitions on holding multiple lucrative offices and warrants public scrutiny, clarification, and accountability.
Wayne County deserves leadership that respects the law, avoids conflicts of interest, treats departments consistently, and operates with transparency and professionalism. When trust erodes, it is the responsibility of the public to speak up.
This petition is not rooted in personal animosity or political gamesmanship. It is about restoring confidence in county leadership, upholding the law, and ensuring that those entrusted with public authority act with integrity and fairness.
By signing this petition, residents are calling for new leadership and a renewed commitment to ethical governance, transparency, and respect for public service.
Thanks to brads emotions and inability to separate his personal feelings.. it put us in the middle of a federal lawsuit. Using 15,000 of tax payer dollars.. just to start. I watched the meeting they posted and those guys didn’t even flinch with that price tag. They don’t care to spend our money. Time for Brad to go.

Wonder why his wife is LIVING in Tennessee and all her vehicles are registered in Tennessee. Brad misses a bunch of meetings and zooms in too…. While he’s in Tennessee. Sounds like it’s time for him to admit he spends more time in TN than here. Let’s keep our priorities strate Bradley.

He seems to make a lot of official decisions based on personal opinions and that doesn't always provide the county with what's actually best for it.
