We, the undersigned residents of River Haven are writing to express our concerns regarding the loud music and late-night operations at Big E's restaurant located at 1250 Highway 9 E, Longs, SC 29568
While we appreciate the vibrant atmosphere that Big E's brings to our community, the excessive noise levels, especially during late-night hours, have become a significant disturbance to our quality of life. Many residents have experienced difficulty sleeping, disruptions to family time, and challenges in maintaining a peaceful living environment due to the loud music that often continues well into the night.
Our Concerns Include:
- Loud Music: The volume of music played at Big E's has consistently exceeded acceptable levels, making it difficult for residents to enjoy their homes.
- Late-Night Operations: The restaurant's late closing hours contribute to noise disturbances during the late evening and early morning hours, impacting families, children, and those who work early shifts.
- Community Impact: The ongoing noise issue has led to frustration among residents and affects the overall atmosphere of our neighborhood.
We respectfully request:
- A review of the current noise regulations in relation to Big E's operations.
- Consideration for limiting the volume of music played and the hours during which it can be played.

The momentum is undeniable now. Seeing everyone rally around this issue proves that silence is what we all need.

I live right behind the place and it sounds like a concert venue in my bedroom every single weekend. Need to keep it down after 10pm.
The business was there long before the development. So if the variance is off then go after the developer not the restaurant. Leave it alone. If people think this is loud, then turn your tv up a bit. So tired of one or two people they are old and crotchety ruing it for everyone else.
The restaurant should be a restaurant and be considerate of neighbors that back already to Hwy 9 with loud noise
SERIOUSLY turn it down. We have to work in the morning.
This unchecked noise must not let go forward, as we have young children and elders that are immediately impacted by this activity, as well as the alcohol related motor vehicle activity.

My kids cant sleep with all the bass thumping. Big E needs to keep the music inside.
