"Should the law be amended to make the results of citizens initiated referenda binding on the New Zealand Government?"

The scale of this response is sufficient to trigger a formal request for a meeting with the Select Committee. My team is drafting the briefing documents now to ensure we lead with clear evidence when we present these signatures to Parliament.

They represent us but never seem to listen when it counts. fix this mess
if the people vote for something it should actually happen. why even have a vote otherwise? total waste of time.
Real democracy would be a good change of pace for NZ.
it is about time we had an actual say in how this country runs. the politicians just do whatever they want anyway.
Too much talk and not enough action from Wellington. Make the votes binding so they have to listen to us.

YES. Finally. Let the people decide for once.
They represent us but never seem to listen when it counts. fix this mess
