Santa Clara students who are residents of Swig Hall have been berated by a Residential Director who belittles their experience and puts personal pride and grudges before residents needs. Those who have had interactions with the RD have experienced patronizing attitudes, unfair conduct, aggressive mannerisms, and personal targeting.

The workers and Community Facilitators of Swig are berated by unfair aggression for representing their opinions and the feelings of their residents. The RD punishes CFs and students who prioritize the fair treatment of residents over the pride of the RD. The RD has impacted the on-campus living of many students in a negative way and perpetrates a ruling strategy that makes residents feel bullied and uncomfortable.

This petition asks for those that feel the above statements is true to sign on in agreement. The purpose of this petition is not to enact a single or direct method of action, but instead is to show the University the feeling of the residents it should prioritize.
