Dear Berrigan Shire Council, We are signing this petition to say No to the School Of Arts Proposal, we would like to Save the Finley War Memorial Hall, for future generations, We do NOT agree to demolishing it .
This hall is about history, memories and respect for those who fought for this country! It is unbelievable that it is mooted to be a....excuse me....carpark? Is this the Melb CBD?

I wish you well with this "Petition" apart from the Hall being on Crown Reserve! Remind your Councillors of one "Often Overlooked" Point. Councils Perse' "Own Nothing" every last asset of any Particular Council, is "Owned by the Ratepayers!" Councils are mere Custodians!

My foster dad came from the Berrigan area, and he would be horrified to find out it is going to be demolished. He would turn over in his grave.

The War Memorial Hall is a well constructed building with great potential. Removing it would be to remove a community asset and dishonour those immortalised by its existence. I cannot understand how any person or group could consider demolishing such a memorial in good conscience.

We would like the war memorial hall in Finley nsw 2713 saved and restored with maybe a memory room for those that gave there life during ww2 the hall being built by families and those that loved these young people who paid the ultimate price for our country and the freedom we are lucky enough to enjoy here in Australia

This memorial hall represents courage resiliance families heritage. The finley area has a rich heritage in the australian forces history partiularly the war era and settlement into the area surrounding. Its a absolute shame to through it all away when it ruled so many families choices and lifestyles for many years.

This vandalising of something so important in the community, must not go ahead. Community wishes must be listened to, and consideration of Veterans, both past an present, must be considered. What has been planned to put in the place of this building, is totally insane, and unwarranted. Leave the building alone, if you truly think your project is so good, then take it to the people for a vote, but if the people originally paid for this Hall, then to be honest, you do not have the right to just charge ahead with your plans. For heavens sake, leave this Hall alone and p
ut your pointless plans to bed.

I thought it was unlawful to demolish a War Memorial or just down right unthoughtful of Berrigan Council
