Giant Eagle Corporate has made the decision to close a lot of the Pittsburgh area Eagles Nests. The one at the Ben Avon, PA location is on the chopping block, scheduled for closure April 8, 2017! This service has offered child care in a fantastic supervised setting for years to the local community!
My youngest child is now 7. On her 3rd birthday, that was where she wanted to spend the day, because she had waited 3 years to be allowed in. I don't go shopping without dropping her off at the Eagles Nest.
This particular location always has kids in it! Plus they do extra activities like movie days for the kids, and coloring contests and more.
I started this petition in hopes to draw attention to how the community will suffer a loss by the closing of the Eagles Nest, and hopefully convince them to stay open.
I also recommend calling 1-800-553-2324 to voice your concerns to corporate!

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and the community is refusing to let this service disappear quietly. Now is the time to turn this pressure into action so call the corporate office at 1-800-553-2324 today to demand they keep the Ben Avon Eagles Nest open.

I shop at Giant Eagle solely for the Eagle's Nest. It is actually not the closest location to me, but the closest one does not have this convenience, so I drive to Camp Horne. With the lower priced competitors in the area, I will most likely not come back to this Giant Eagle at all if the Eagle's Nest closes.
My girls LOVED going to the Eagles Nest when they were small. (They're now adults.) It also provided me time to shop, bank, visit the drycleaner, and the pharmacy in peace. It would truly be a shame to see it go... The Eagles Nest provides a wonderful service to the clientele of the Camp Horne Giant Eagle!
I am a single parent of 3 kids under 8 since my husband died suddenly. The Eagles nest at this location is the only way that I am able to grocery shop at all.
I don't even have small children but this is such a great service for those who do and want to shop without distraction, crying, temper tantrums, etc And as a shopper with no small children I would like to shop without all of that as well...
Its a short sighted business decision. I'm willing to spend a little more at Giant Eagle (instead of Aldi) in order to use this service
This is a much needed service.
Please no!! There aren't many left and my kids love it there!

This Eagle's Nest is the reason I shop here. The staff is amazing with the kids and it is safe and clean. There is no Curbside service at this location so keep the Eagle's Nest open.
