We wish to petition the City and DWP to improve the lot between Waverly/Locksley cul-de-sacs and Fletcher blvd. The lot has been abandoned and not maintained. Drug users have moved in and turned it into an unsafe dilapidated area with trash and spent needles. The City and DWP have partially cleaned up the hazards, but in the process destroyed all living plants leaving the lot barren and not any more safe than it previously was. It is an eyesore at the very entrance to Silverlake. It is unsafe, deters potential tenants and decreases home values. We, the residents of Locksley/Waverly, request that this lot first be made safe; beautified, and maintained. This will provide the community with a common green space, sense of community and a safe living environment.

Total eyesore for the neighborhood. Silverlake deserves better than a trash dump at the entrance.

Living right next to this disaster for years. It is depressing to walk past every single day. Just clean it up already!

The lot is a magnet for trouble. Cleaning it up is the only way to stop the drug activity around here.
