THE MATHS EXAM HELD ON THE 11-12-2007 WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A JOKE AND A DISPLAY OF HOW CARELESS A UNIVERSITY CAN BE IN SETTING THE EXAM......
THE KEY ISSUES
> 43 MARKS OUT OF SYLLABUS
> NO FOURIER SERIES ( A COMPLETE UNIT DISAPPEARED)
> NO COMPLEX NUMBER
> VIOLATION OF THE CURRENT PATTERN OF EXAMINATION.
> SAME EXAM WAS COPIED AS WAS GIVEN A FEW YEARS BACK TO THE BATCH WITH A DIFFERENT SYLLABUS JUST TO SAVE TIME
> HOW THE HELL DOES A UNIT WORTH 12.5 MARKS COME OUT TO BE OF 37 MARKS
THIS NEGLIGENCE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED , AND WE WONT SETTLE FOR 5-10 MARKS IN AN EXAM WHERE WE HAD ONLY 35 MARKS TO ATTEMPT ....
EITHER RE-CONDUCT THE EXAM OR GIVE THE THE MARKS OF THE QUESTION\'S OUT OF SYLLABUS
THERE IS NO EASY WAY OUT FOR IP - UNIVERSITY THIS TIME.
I have spent the last few days digging through our old textbooks and comparing the exam paper to the official syllabus to document every single discrepancy. The silence from the administration is deafening but it only confirms that they are hoping we will simply move on and accept this mess.

Seeing so many of you echo the same frustration reminds me that I was not alone in that exam hall feeling betrayed by such blatant negligence. This momentum proves that the university cannot simply sweep their mistakes under the rug anymore. We are finally forcing them to acknowledge that our education is not something they can discard to save time.

This is completely unfair. We spent months studying the actual syllabus and then they pull this on us? Ridiculous.
