We got married here and I visited many a times when I was growing up. It would be such a loss and I want to be able to take my children here

It's a lovely place to visit & would be such a shame if it went. A great place for visitors & tourism would suffer if it closed.

The visitor centres provide a really valuable point for visitors, particularly families, who may not feel confident striking out without guidance. The parks authority need to ensure that people are supported to make the most of it.

No way. I and my family have many happy times there over many years. It is one of our favourite places in the whole world. It's closure would be a huge loss to all.

I think it is such a shame that such a valuable education opportunity as this is to be axed. Surely the whole point of having National Parks, Areas of Special Scientific Interest etc is to enable people not only to experience the wonderful environments which are present in the UK but also to understand how, why and when they came to be. How can we preserve our landscape for the future if people have no concept of what they are all about? How can this happen if bureaucrats have decided that the one place where people can learn about this should be axed? It beggars belief that the costs of converting the premises to other uses have not even been factored in! What will our children think of us in the decades ahead!

That is another great point. I will do what i can for your niece. It makes me quite angry to think that something she enjoys doing could be affected in a negative way.

I've driven to this centre from Manchester in the UK, it would be a huge loss to the area to close it.

Thank you Ruth....from New Zealand! There are so many reasons for it not to close i couldn't possibly add them all here. Lets do what we can and spread the word. It may be a small victory...but a very important one to many people and to the brecon beacons

There is , behind closed doors as far as i am aware. Their is a decision on the 5th of February. So the idea is to get publicity and a large petition before that date.

The biggest asset the town of Brecon has , is the Brecon beacons, what a mean decision to restrict people the knowledge of the local area provided to visitors.
