The Beacons are one of South Wales' most beautiful, photogenic and visited tourist attractions. Feet, tyres and hooves crisscross this amazing landscape in huge numbers every year and the removal of these facilities will not only cause local people who have dedicated their careers to sharing this beautiful place with people, it will lessen the understanding and experience that visitors have.

The tourism, culture and heritage economy are vital to the well being of people, and for local businesses. Charities and local small businesses are dependent on the tourism economy. It isn't just about jobs, it is about the benefits gained by visitors and tourists who visit an awe inspiring place.
Making financial cuts in this sector diminishes the well being of thousands of people, and not just employees.

The closure of thr visitor centre would be a great loss. It would be bound to impact on the local economy, not just for business but for artists and photographers than rely on places like this to sell their wares.

Sad to hear this. I like the Waterfalls centre particulary, and having staff there helps keep the carpark in order when it's busy.

Some years ago, we brought a group of walkers over from New York State. They had a great day walking from the Visitors Centre. Everyone bought maps and souvenirs, had tea, and we were given a marvelous talk about the difference between National Parks in the UK and USA. It was a highlight of the trip. I hate to think others might not have such an opportunity. Please don't close the Centre.

It would be a shame for this to close.Where would people go for information .We loved it there and loads of people we know go regularly.We would certainly use it again. It needs to be left open .

Surely this would affect numbers going to the tearooms too.
Will that be the next closure? More money lost and a great asset gone. National Parks NEED visitor centres
