These centres are essential to tourism in Wales and share a wealth of knowledge. They must remain open!

Good safety advice on suitable walks will no longer be given to visitors to the park.

After 30 years in Brecon Mountain Rescue Team I am unaware of any other visitor resource that offers this level advice to tourists that visit the Brecon Beacons. The staff & literature offer quality advice on things to do & safety on the hills. It is always well supported & I fail to see how such a unique resource is not financially viable when managed correctly.

It is all our National Park. It is not yours to turn into comfy offices for your non jobs. Enough is enough.

This proposal is very short sighted - outdoor pursuits is a booming business and surely there must be way of making this work.

The park already looks a shambles with the abomination at Pont ar Daf and the forestry block that looks like it's off a film set to Apocolypse Now. This National Park is losing its way and is becoming inward looking. I am also a member of Brecon Mountain Rescue and have seen for myself the help and advice staff give walkers coming to the National Park, and have no doubt that indirectly it has helped stop many misguided walks and subsequent accidents.

It would be such a loss to the brecon beacons to lose the mountain centre that provides accessable services to local people and tourists. I am a member of the local mountain rescue team and have often used the mountain centre on call outs and training.
