Visitor centres are at the heart of our national parks. They give our national parks their identity, they help us relate to and understand our national parks. For many people, especially casual visitors and foreign tourists, they are they main way of experiencing our national parks. Yes, we spend a lot of time in the tea rooms. But we do so because we know the visitor centre and gift shop are upstairs on the first floor - they're part of the same entity. Take away the visitor centre and the tea rooms become just another place where you can get a hot meal and a slab of cake. Take away the visitor centre and the national park becomes somehow less tangible and less accessible. In this age of human-induced climate change, we should be strengthening our ties to nature, not weakening them. I hope everything possible is done to save this important public resource.

Our visitor information centres are vital for informing and enhancing peoples knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the National Park. To close them down would be hugely detrimental as they are a big draw for visitors and tourists that expect these kind of services. Keep them open for all to enjoy!

Please don't let this visitor centre close. People from all over the uk, and parts of the world come to visit and are given the most knowledgeable advice on how to appreciate the Brecon Beacons as well as other parts of Wales. This cannot stop. Please find funding to keep it open.

How can we lose such a facility that is so well attended and situated in an area that is used and enjoyed by all groups of people from the fittest to others less fortunate and immobile but can come and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding scenery. We must encourage visitors to this beautiful area of Wales and provide facilities to entice them to come.

I strongly object to proposals to close the vistor centres. They are central to promoting access to and understanding of the park, and must be reagarded as essential and as core functions.

Love the visitor centre. It's always busy. Attracts lots of people worldwide. Great food in the cafe. These are the the of places that help with tourism in wonderful national park ares of Wales and is essential,that it remains open

Foolish to close centre. Ideal location for people of all ages to enjoy short or long walks in a beautiful part of Wales. Staff pleasant and helpful with sensible advice on which walks to take depending on your ability. Good choice of refreshments available on return from a walk. Would like to see the café and gift shop in reversed positions to enjoy view when having refreshment ,also it would be more convenient for the toilet facilities for people with any form of mobility difficulties. If they want an office in the centre why not use a Porto cabin and site it at the end of the car park out of the way.Bad decision if the centre closes

The closure of the visitor centre would be a tragedy for myself as a walker and also for a family day out. I know that I wouldn't visit anymore and I have family and friends who would also keep away.

Who will know what to do and where to go if there is no Visitor Centre? As a visitor to the National Park I find their local knowledge to be invaluable.
