Surely they should bin some of the bureaucracy that blights those trying to live and work in the park and keep this facility open to help attract much needed visitor revenue.

Having used the facilities the centre has to offer I feel this would be a great lose. The closure proposal should be looked at again as to the impact it is going to have

A wonderful resource that deserves to be saved. Wales is working hard to increase tourism and shutting down this visitor centre would be madness

Not only will there be the cost of conversion but also travel for staff which will not be possible in the event of heavy snow,plus additional staff travel costs which will fall on the council. Not to mention statutory responsbilities.

We regulary use the visitor centre. Its one of the few places people in wheelchairs can easily get close to nature and an invalueable source of help and information about the area.

I would have thought the visitor centres provide not only valuable tourist information but important safety advice too. A terribly short-sighted decision.

I agree wholeheartedly with the comments on the left. I have a horrible feeling that the country is being closed down.NHS Education, Libraries.
They are all being attacked.

It seems extremely short sighted to close this facility, when tourism is so important to the area, and provides such useful information to enable people to go out safely onto the mountains, encouraging health benefits of the nation. A doctor in Ireland has prescribed a daily walk up the mountain!!!

Fantastic facility. Staff are excellent. Perfect starting and ending point for any number of brilliant walks and rides. The health benefits for everyone far outweigh any savings that could be made from closing the centre.

We bring all our friends & relations to the centre when they come to stay & make regular visits with the grandchildren. We would miss it terribly. It is a wonderful resource. Please don't close it.

As a former mountain rescue volunteer in the Beacons I am dismayed that the Park are proposing to close the visitors centre. I really hope that alternatives to a complete closure can be found and that all possible solutions should be explored in full

This is a short-sighted and retrograde step . Both are an important asst in informing many of the visitors to the park of its heritage and attractions as well as giving advice.
