Welcome to Durham, where we try our hardest to respect the traditions and cultures of others. You don't get to ruin that for this community. LET THEM PRACTICE!

This group is a wonderful addition the the urban Durham landscape. They are not breaking any laws. As a resident of downtown I expect to hear noise. If someone wants peace and quiet they should move to the suburbs.

We heard these guys last week as we were passing by. They give Durham its diverse, delicious flavor. The sound was at a reasonable level and they stopped playing at a reasonable time.
Leave them alone and let them play.

I am a Liberty Warehouse resident and I support Batala Durham's practice in the park. Not only do I get to hear their unique music, I can watch them from my apartment. The experience, culture, and diversity of the city was a deciding factor in moving to Liberty Warehouse. And my move has not disappointed me. I can hear the clacks from the skate park, the train (I love the sound of the train), movies in the park, sirens from police and fire, and yes, Batala Durham. All of these, plus the quiet convenience of the Farmer's Market, restaurants within walking distance (oh so many restaurants!). Please don't shut down those things which help make Durham, and the location at Liberty Warehouse, such a special place.

I grew up in Durham and own two businesses in downtown Durham and will not stand for people moving in and attempting to get rid of the diversity and culture that makes us great. Just move to the suburbs where it's quiet at 7:00 pm.

If they were playing in the middle of the night I might understand, but this is ridiculous!

I am a Liberty Warehouse resident and stand with the many members of the Liberty Warehouse community who support Batala Durham's right to practice. I object to this aggressive attempt to shut down the drumming in favor of a single individual's needs.

I can't even believe this is an issue being that this is a CITY! The train makes noise too - are they going to shut that down next?

I enjoy the drumming and all the lively exciting activities that happen at the Durham Central Park. Let's keep this great positive energy going...it is pleasant and inspirational.
