Downtown needs to be downtown! It's insane that people can move in to these apartments KNOWING there's activity in the park and then complain! Batala is a signature feature of Durham and we would all be poorer if they were silenced. Durham's recent economic growth is due in large part to artists like these.

I am a Liberty Warehouse resident and I support Batala Durham. I find it disheartening that complaints from our neighbor are harassing this group. We CHOSE to live here and we should want to be a part of the downtown Durham community, not try to change the things that make it wonderful.

I'm a parent, and I get what it's like to hate noise at night. But supporting unique at and culture groups is extremely important, and taking away scheduled practices at reasonable hours is just as bad as taking away constitutional free speech.

Don’t live in the middle of a city if you don’t like cool stuff going on around you. There are suburbs with hoa’s with very strict noise ordinances that may suit you much better.

I am a resident of Liberty warehouse and I fully support the Batala practice. This type of culture is why I was excited to move to this neighborhood and I look forward to attending and enjoying many more of their practices and performances.

It isn't right that they aren't permitted to practice. Keep Durham culture alive and don't try to quiet it, silence it, or shut it down! No laws were broken! Shame on the DPD!
