The zoning system goes against cor unum completey. You may as well change the entire school because Baradene would not be the same without its diversity.

I travelled from South Auckland for 7 years! Give others the opportunity to do so also!
They argue that zoning would aid diversity but it would prevent it!!

Students like myself have benefited from being at a "Catholic" school where diversity is accepted by God and now our values that we uphold are now being questioned by those who dont understand the importance of culture and social interaction are the key fundamental building blocks which made us survive in the real world and now you are going to deny young women with that oppurtunity???

I will be deeply saddened if this becomes the case. It will limit the possibility of so many students and will turn Baradene into a mere shell of what it is now.

Only last year I was catching a bus from South Auckland to Remuera, with at least 50 other girls. To think that the opportunity for these girls to attend Baradene is going to be taken away as of next year is so disappointing.

Zoning will, in fact, not increase diversity. This proposal stinks and doesn't appear to be totally honest. The school is situated in Remuera, one of the least diverse areas of Auckland. No disrespect to people in the area at all, but someone has really not thought through their aims to increase diversity. Think, Ministry of Education and listen up.

As an ex-Baradene student, I am absolutely horrified at this idea of zoning. Part of the reason Baradene succeeds as a school is its diversity, which would be heavily depleted should this go ahead.
