This is a petition to Ban the Noise making Murtali (petards) from Malta, this is not a ban on all the fireworks, we all love the nice colourful ones. This ban is against the noisy, pointless petards.
We hit one hundred signatures today. The traditionalists are going to hate this but the constant, deafening blasts from these petards are destroying our peace and quiet.

Apparti l-istorbju hemm il-probblema li l-bicciet tal-murtali jaqghu fuq il-propjeta tan nies u dan huwa ta' periklu. Dawk li jaharqu l-bombi jigu jaqghu u jqumu minn din il-probblema tant hu hekk li meta tkellimhom jghidulek "hemm l-insurance!". Because cars, trucks, and motorcycles don't produce 120 dB of sound (the legal limit for murtali, and the threshold of pain for humans) or 156 dB (the amount claimed to have been measured by some, and which is at the same level as a small calibre firearm and will cause instant and permanent hearing damage)

It sounds worse than war most of the time and it feels so bad even in your stomach when they're close. Can anyone who loves them imagine how it feels for a sick person, especially the ones who are bound to stay in bed??!!
