The park is too heavily used for human activity. There are better locations for a dog park.

I think that both the community pain and bonneville park are inappropriate sites for a proposed dog park. My friends and I have played frisbee and football at the community park for years. I don't want to lose that, or others to lose that either. Put the dog park somewhere where housing is not yet developed so potential homebuyers are already aware of the park. It is (in my opinion) unethical to use taxpayer money to build the dog park when all property owners adjacent to the community park are opposed to its construction .

I am a dog owner and would not use this type of facility. The needs of those with two legs should out weight those with four. There is an increasing vibe for people to be more active. This proposed dog park does not add to the need for people to be more active. A dog park can be added elsewhere. Perhaps in a place that doesn't take away already productive space.

I don't think this is the right location for a dog park. I think all the new high density housing going in need to make some area for the owners to let their dogs run around. Orem community Park is a great field to play with family.

Property values in the area will go down.

My concern is for the safety of our children. Young children walk through the park on the way to Orem Elementary school and high school students pass thru on their way to Mountain View High School. A dog park would bring a lot of extra traffic and who knows what kind of people this would attract, and what if a dog were to get loose, possibly putting our children at risk. Secondly, this area is used by families and others for small group activities such as volleyball, frisbee, family reunions, scout activities, etc. since the rest of the park seems to be occupied with ball games and high school physical education classes. There is already enough traffic thru this park. I beg of you to please find another place for the dog park.

I font disagree with the need of a dog park but the location in the park that a high school has to use and the closeness to the pavilion I don't thinks is a good idea also that area of the park is used s lot for activities because the other open area is used for the school Little kid soccer games and practice Vollyball Frisbee Other park games There are better locations in the city for a dog park

How about making the dog park on the west side of Geneva Road. Orem City's plans are already unsuited for quality human life; foisting on us a Europeanized way of living out of high rise tenament housing! NO DOG PARK in Orem Community Park! Period!

With the over utilization at the park now, adding a dog park would be a disaster. It's proposed location next to a pavilion where food is severed, and close proximity to a children's playground would create undesired results. Those who use the pavilion often use the proposed area for other activities. With the park areas being shared with Mt. View high school it is difficult for Orem citizens to find usable areas. Why add more confusion to a park that is already overutilized? The proposed area is also too small especially for large breeds. It is a bad location.

Dogs don't need parks! People need parks.

This area is overused as is. I am dog owner and live close to the park. I don't feel that this is a need in Orem. Why would we take away good useful park are from thr populace as a whole to cater to the select few.

This is such a great park for playing and family BBQs. This is the wrong place for a dog park.

It is ridiculous to think that educated people from our community came up with this location for the dog park. That specific section of the park is consistently used by people from all over Orem to play volleyball, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, and football. We are not talking about just the houses right near that area. That specific location is also used for family picnics and people just hanging out and having fun.

Wrong park. This does not belong next to residents in a highly used area of the park. Follow the good planning similar to the skate board park and put it where it won't disturb a neighborhood.

This is the only open area for family use in this park, especially near the playground, restroom and two pavilions for large or small groups for family, reunions, church and community use without crossing the park road. The other side of the park road is used for high school and community sports. There is a high volume of vehicle traffic and parking for sporting events and student drop off/pickup to two school. Many children and students are walking to and from the high school and an elementary school. There are traffic, parking and safety issues. This area needs to be left for family use.

This area is used by many sports teams for a practice area. It is also a gathering place for church groups and family reunions. Families gather to play games and enjoy the space. A dog park would take all of this away from the community.

I love dogs but we do not have enough room for an enclosed fence and adequate green space for humans. Find another location for the dog park!

I have a concern for the welfare of my children who play there.
