The local Banfield location has officially announced its permanent closure in our community. I am deeply grateful for the determination of the 130 people who joined this effort to ensure our pets remain safe. We must continue to monitor the area to verify that this transition is completed as promised.

Banfield killed my cat and has harmed so many others. We need them to move out of our community so we can keep our fur babies alive and healthy!

On July 12, 2021 my sweet, healthy 2yr old cat was seen by Banfield for a routine cleaning. After being home for 30 min. he died. Since Monday, I've reached out to the community, only to find, so many stories that are similar to mine. No family, no children, no animal should have to endure what my family has this week. It's completely unacceptable. I would like come together as a community to show our community leaders and Banfield, they are no longer wanted in OUR COMMUNITY.

I hold Banfield responsible for over medicating my healthy 7 year German shorthaired pointer. He had pancreatitis and I believe the appetite stimulant prescription was too strong and he suffered cardiac arrest at home. The day before he died they told me if he got any worse I would have to take him to another vet. They admitted they aren’t a full care facility and aren’t capable of handling all cases. They are awful and I would never recommend them to anyway. Ever.
They opened up my poor cat, I thought she was a stray, to spay her, they claimed she had no scar or tattoo, she had to have one or the other. They scanned her, supposedly her whole body, for a chip, they claimed she didn't have one. After that, Iost all confidence in them, switched vets and within 5 mins of her seeing the new vet, they found a chip. After having her for almost 3 yrs, I had to return her. Banfield is an awful place to take your pets.
Two years ago i vowed to never take my business there or refer anyone after how my dog was treated. I support this petition to get the Wal Mart of vet clinics out of town. What I truly despise is the lack of communication with customers from the corporate level. It’s very obvious by looking at comments on social media pages that they have quite the history. There should be follow ups with customers from district managers when events like this take place. I don’t feel bad for the public relations problems they have bc they do not seek out answers from the pet owners.
My daughter took her dog to them at the university location in Charlotte N.C. A year ago and he was so sick for days. She never took him back to them again, he now goes to Stand for animals and gets his teeth cleaned with no issues
they almost killed my girlfriend's dog by ignoring an allergic reaction she was having to a medicine they prescribed!! she now lives with the long term side effects, banfield has no place in our community and they take advantage of low income people!!
THEY KILLED MY CAT. REFUSED TO SEE HER AFTER THEY GAVE HER BAD MEDS. EVEN ETHICS MANAGER KNOWS THEIR VETS ARE HORRIBLE.
Banfield doesn’t care about our pets all they care about is about is making money. I have had bad experience with my dog in any of the Banfield locations in the area.

Banfield in Harrisburg missed a softball sized tumor in our sweet dog Willow, after multiple trips because we thought there was something wrong. The emergency vet we took her to when she was dying assumed she had been without vet care which couldn't have been farther from the truth. My son is still not over it and has even made comments that he wishes that he could die and come back to life just to see her one more time.
