Dear Commissioner von Eschenbach,
I am writing to voice my opposition to the continued use of bisphenol-A in the production of plastics for food packaging.
Bisphenol A has been proven to act as a hormone disruptor and yet it continues to be found in many everyday products including food cans, plas-tic water containers and baby bottles. Studies show that people are exposed to Bisphenol A when it leaches out of these products and a recent consensus of 38 respected scientists confirmed that low-doses are harmful to our health.
The health of Americans should be first priority in the view of your agency. I would respectfully request that the FDA take measures to remove this chemical from food packaging by banning its use.
Sincerely,
I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have joined this effort to protect our health. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined so many people cared about this issue. Thank you for turning this into something much larger than I could have ever started on my own.

Ridiculous. We shouldnt have to worry about toxic chemicals every time we buy groceries. Put our health before corporate profit for once.
