I have been reading your messages about how much trash you see piling up in our local parks and it makes me realize how many of us share this same frustration. I am currently working on organizing all of your feedback so we have a clear document to hand over when the time comes. This entire effort is moving forward only because you decided to lend your name to it.

Omaha public schools are a large contributor of wasted plastic bags. They are used daily for students to receive their breakfast and are then thrown away. Thousands of pounds a year. When asked if a change in procedure was possible, the request was quickly shut down. I prefer to be anonymous in this comment.
Our planet could certainly use a win right now. We don’t need single use plastic shopping bags. Let’s take this easy, responsible step to eliminate litter in our community and reduce our demand for fossil fuel-based plastic.Thank you.
Most of the trash that I see in the neighborhood is plastic bags! We need to stop them now!!!
There’s definitely a better way to get groceries than plastic bags, why are we still using an inefficient, old method instead of researching Better, biodegradable bags or using paper/ reusable ones?
We believe that since we already have access to paper bags and reusable mesh grocery bags, plastic bags are harmful and useless in the end. As for a replacement, the two types of bags we mentioned above have already been instated and are easily accesible. Mayor Jean Stothert may not approve a new type of bags because of costs, time, etc. Thanks for the questions! Hope we helped.

i want to be able to see a narwhal before i die and by the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish which is genuinely terrifying, i also hope that future generations will be able to,,,, BREATHE CLEAN AIR?!?!!!!

I would like to see plastic use reduced overall, but plastic bags are a great place to start.
