Hunting is cruel and outdated. Animals value their lives, have the capacity to suffer and feel pain, and they want to live- just like us.

People go to the park to enjoy the beauty and peace of nature not to have to wonder if and when they will run into recreational killers or see wounded or dead wildlife.

Despicable...no hunting should ever be allowed in areas frequented by nature lovers, campers, hikers.

Letchwiorth is publicly owned land and the public should be able to enjoy the land any time of the year without fear of getting shot

There is NO SCIENCE to support killing wildlife in Letchworth State Park--the only reason it is allowed is because the New York State DEC relies on revenues raised from selling hunting, trapping and fishing licenses. The agency is dysfunctional, and it is inappropriate for any decision-maker to rely on the DEC's recommendations, considering their bias based on lining their pockets and balancing their budget. Let's reconsider the decision to allow hunting in the Park; let's go to other knowledgeable sources for input, such as the Humane Society of the United States. Please STOP hunting in the park!

It is an injustice to allow a small number of people bring such horrible violence to such a beautiful place. To allow Hunting in Letchworth State Park threatens all of us along with the wildlife. I will not visit this park again if hunting is allowed. It belongs to all of us!
