PETITION TO THE NOVA SCOTIAN GOVERNMENT TO BAN GLYPHOSATE SPRAYING IN THE NOVA SCOTIAN FORESTRY INDUSTRY
Whereas, we the undersigned, residents of the Province of Nova Scotia, ask the Nova Scotian government to ban the use of glyphosate and glyphosate based products for all forestry use on public and private land.
Whereas the Government of Canada has not released independent, unbiased data on the safety of glyphosate based products. The Government of Canada has not disproved the link between glyphosate based products with serious health effects, such as cancer, digestive malformations and birth defects.
Whereas the Government of Canada has not released independent, unbiased data on the impact of glyphosate based products on the environment, and the potential for glyphosate to pollute the land and water supply.
Whereas the Government of Nova Scotia is compromising the future of its residents with irresponsible regulation of glyphosate based products used in the forestry industry in Nova Scotia.
We ask that the government provide a clean and safe environment for the residents of Nova Scotia by banning the use of glyphosate products in the forestry industry.

I was looking at the screen and realized how much this has grown and it hits me that people actually care about our forests as much as I do which is just wild because I honestly thought it would be a lonely road. The local radio person emailed me earlier and it feels like we might finally get someone in the legislature to actually listen if we keep this momentum going even though I am still kind of processing that this is happening at all.

When the people that own it will publicly eat it, then it is safe to spray on our land.
I have the right to a non-toxic environment. There are safe, non-toxic alternatives to glyphosate.
I have personally been affected by policies that do not protect my health for 22+ years !
The studies have shown that this chemical should not be used on our environment and can be deleterious to our health. The particulates Can spread up to 20 km contaminating water soil and wildlife. We must continue to be caretakers of the environment for future generations.
Please stop this spraying... I feel all individuals should have a say to what is put into our environment. I don't want this around myself or my kids or on the wildlife.
There is so many bad reasons for spraying this chemical

There are kinder ways to procure population control. Our government has a moral responsibility to protect its citizens...
