For the past several years we have seen an increase abuse of assault weapons on unsuspecting citizens. Resulting in deaths and injuries.
After Friday's shooting in Connecticut, it finally time to step up to the Government and put a ban on deadly assault weapons that take multiple lives per second.
We have the constitutional right to protect our self, which is why we have other deadly weapons such as pistols, shotguns, rifles etc. to protect us.
There is no place for an assault rifle in our homes!

I have spent my mornings reading your messages and they carry the same weight as the ache in my own chest. Your stories about wanting to feel safe in your own neighborhood keep me working on this project late into the night. We deserve to live in a world where these weapons are finally out of reach.

The momentum behind this plea is overwhelming and shows that people are finally ready to demand real safety in our homes. Seeing this level of support gives me hope that we can stop these tragedies from shattering more families like mine.

My heart breaks for the families in ct. something needs to be done about these guns.
How many more kids have to die before something actually changes? Enough is enough.
